Job Description:
Overview:
City Hope Church is seeking a dynamic individual to serve in a dual role as a Student Director & Guest Experience Director. This individual will play a pivotal role in shaping the spiritual growth of City Hope Students while also providing oversight to the Guest Experience teams (which are led by Deacons), ensuring that everyone who walks through our doors feels welcomed, valued, and connected.
Key Responsibilities:
- Student Ministry Leadership:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive vision and strategy for student ministry that aligns with the overall mission and values of City Hope Church.
- Lead and oversee all aspects of student ministry, including weekly gatherings, small groups, special events, and service opportunities.
- Recruit, train, and mentor a team of volunteer leaders to effectively minister to students and create a supportive community.
- Provide care and support to students and their families, fostering spiritual growth and discipleship.
- Guest Experience Oversight:
- Provide oversight leadership and direction to the Guest Experience teams, including First Time Guest, Ushers, Greeters, Hospitality, and Prayer.
- Work with current leadership to develop and implement systems and processes to ensure a seamless and welcoming experience for guests from the moment they arrive until they depart.
- Coach, train, and equip volunteers to excel in their roles, emphasizing the importance of hospitality, inclusivity, and genuine care for all who attend our services and events.
- Regularly evaluate and assess the effectiveness of the Guest Experience teams, soliciting feedback and implementing improvements as needed.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with other church staff and ministry leaders to coordinate efforts and ensure alignment across all areas of ministry.
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, volunteers, and church leadership, keeping them informed about upcoming events, initiatives, and opportunities for involvement.
- Cultivate relationships with students, families, and guests, actively engaging with them to build community and foster connections within the church.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Divinity, Ministry, Education, etc.) preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in student ministry or related youth-focused roles.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to recruit, train, and empower volunteers.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for connecting with people of all ages and backgrounds.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, with a flexible and adaptable approach to ministry.
