Staff Responsibilities and Job Description

 

As an employee, Marietta First Baptist Church requires that each worker be a Christian and attend church regularly.

MFBC CDC is a Christian Center where the principles and teachings of Jesus Christ will be taught daily. Our primary goal is to provide children an environment that is comfortable, safe and friendly. We will strive to make each child feel loved and wanted and to increase their sense of self worth.

We, as a local body of baptized believers, whose hope and trust is in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, our Savior, recognize the responsibilities we have and hereby purpose ourselves to His glory and our mission with the following objectives:

 

  1. To glorify God through the prayerful fellowship of Christians led by the Holy Spirit.
  2. To study the Word of God in order to improve our lives, to resist false teachings, and to share God’s truths with our fellowship, community, and the world.
  3. To glorify God by faithfully proclaiming His message in Christ through all aspects of the church.
  4. To glorify God through faithful worship, witness, service, and stewardship of all our talents and abilities, time, and money, which are gifts of God.
  5. To glorify God as a fellowship of concerned Christians seeking to show His love by ministering unselfishly to the needs of individuals in our community.

 

Duties and Responsiblities include but not limited to:

  • Establish and enforce rules of behavior for children in their classrooms
  • Provide basic needs for children 
  • Provide tools and resources for children to use and explore during learning and play activities 
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the interest and learning styles of children 
  • Develop and maintain positve relationships with children and parents
  • Manage classroom activities including lessons and play

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old with a GED or High School Diploma
  • Must complete and pass both state and federal background check with fingerprinting ( Provided by CDC)
  • Committ to 15 hours of training per year ( provided by CDC)
  • Must have up-to-date TB test
