FBC Belton is searching for a part-time Youth Minister to join our team and invest in our growing sixth through twelfth grade student ministry.
The schedule would be working 12-15 hours per week and include 2-4 hours of in office time with the rest of the staff weekly.
Our youth ministry is healthy and growing, we are looking for someone who can continue building the youth ministry on the positive trajectory it currently has.
To see this happen, the next youth minister should be ready to:
- Prioritize building relationships during regular church events as well as in the schools and community events.
- Be a team player, our staff doesn't work in silos, we all pitch in to help every aspect of church ministry succeed.
- Be organized, a youth ministry of 50-60 youth requires organization, preparation, and detail-oriented skills.
- Develop volunteers. Engaging parents and other adults in the ministry is a high value, as well as developing our students to invest in ministries of the church.
- Preach The Word in our Wednesday night youth worship
- Teach the Word in youth Sunday School while also equipping volunteers to invest in the students.
- Grow disciples through Sunday night small groups.
- Organize and lead summer mission trips (like M-Fuge) and/or summer camps (like Look-Up-Lodge)
- Schedule and lead special events such as, Disciple Now Weekends, combining with other churches for youth events, and mission opportunities.
We have a strong staff ready to encourage and support our next youth minister in this vital role for our church. There will be opportunities for pastoral experience in this position as well; including, pastoral care visits, preaching/teaching, and leadership development.
Compensation will be commensurate with education and experience.
