Job Title: Director of Generosity
Position Summary:
Create and execute a written development plan to increase giving towards the church's Legacy fund and other campaigns (inlcuding but not limited to Palmetto Christian Academy (PCA)'S annual fund), as well as foster a culture of generosity among the church's members both towards the tithe and "above and beyond" the tithe.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop, reccomend, and execute strategies for fostering a culture of Biblical generosity and stewardship
- Identify, engage, and cultivate relantionships with potential major donors, PCA alumni, church families, and PCA parents to help connect where God might be leadng them to the opportunities that exist within the church and school
- Organize and lead donor events and campaigns to increase awareness and involvement in the Legacy Fund
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for growing and sustaining the Legacy fund including the establisment of measurable goals and objectives
- Collaborate with the Baptist Foundatin of South Carolina to ensure proper investment of the Legacy Fund
- Lead the execution of all financial campaigns ensuring they are well-coordinated and successfully executed
- Collaborate with the communication department to plan direct mail, digital marketing, and other communication strateies to promote giving
- Where appropriate. identify, seek, and manage other contribution streams
- Provide training as needed to volunteers on fundraising techiniques and strategies
- Provide regular reports and updates to key reports on a quarterly basis
- Develop and mantain and understanding of the culture and strategic direction of the church and school
Qualifications and Requirements
- Affirm East Cooper Baptist Church Statement of Faith and commit to exhibit a lifestyle that is consistent(required)
- Willing to become a memeber of East Cooper Baptist Church (required)
- A demonstrated missional perspective for generosity and stewardship within the church (required)
- Bachelor Degree in a related field such as development, marketing, public relations, and/or communications (desired)
- 5-10 yeats of direct fundraising experience with larger gifts
- Experience in training and supervising others
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strategic thinker who is a creative problem solver
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituents
- Excellent organizational and time management skills in working independently, prioritizing workflow, and managing resources
- Ability to manage and mantain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Proficiency in Google Suite
- Knowledge of relevant laws/regulations, as well as knowledge of charitable giving techiniques and options
- Ability to travel locally as necessary
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as necessary
