Children's Ministry Director

The Director of Children’s Ministries will work with the Associate Pastor of Discipleship and Outreach to conduct the following key responsibilities for the children’s ministry (birth-5^th grade). 

Key Responsibilities

1. Plan and lead programs of fellowship, recreation and Christian growth and development for the children of the church that will enhance group unity and be a means of outreach to children not involved in the church.

2. Communicate with and plan events to include parents of the children of the church.

3. Work closely with the Children’s Committee to develop programs and with the Nominating Committee in the recruitment of workers for these programs.

4. Enlist and supervise nursery workers for Sunday morning & evening, and other special events as required.

5. As an integral part of the church staff, participate in the ministry of the church to include worship activities, outreach ministry and other ministries, including the children’s sermon during regular worship services.

Qualifications

1. BS in Early Childhood/Elementary Education preferred OR
2. At least 5 years of experience in children’s ministry
