Flint Ridge Baptist Church is seeking a full-time pastor dedicated to serve God and support our mission statement to preach biblical values, teach the word of God and send disciples into a lost and dying world. Flint Ridge was established in 1903 in the rural community of Heath Springs, South Carolina,located in the southern portion of Lancaster County. We are a southern Baptist church affiliated with the Moriah Association and adhere to the Baptist Faith and Message 2000. We average about 100 in attendance on Sunday mornings with a blended worship style of hymns and contemporary music. We are looking for a pastor with a vision of the future who is educated, experienced, humble and an energetic man of God. The Pastor must be willing to reach the active and inactive members of the church while supporting all aspects and ages of the church. Heshould continually strive to develop leaderships skills so that he can equip and encourage the deacons and our church leaders to join him in serving the congregation and community through evangelism. The Pastor will oversee all areas of the church as we seek to grow in every aspect of the ministry and build God’s kingdom within our community. He will adhere to the church’s Constitution and By-Laws while performing his pastoral duties such as; preaching the gospel through sermons or bible study on Sunday morning, Sunday evening as well as Wednesday evenings, baptisms, weddings, the Lord’s Supper, visiting the sick and shut-ins, counseling, funeral services, community outreach and other duties as required to develop a healthy church that glorifies God’s kingdom. The Pastor’s lifestyle, habits and actions, as well as those of his wife, shall be such that it will not bring any disgrace, disparity, or harm the reputation and ministry of Flint Ridge Baptist Church or go against God’s Holy Word. Biblical references for the spiritual qualifications that he and his wife should adhere to are the following: 1 Timothy 3:1-7; 1 Peter 5:1-4, Colossians 3:12-17 and Acts 20:28-32.
The church requires that the Pastor live in close proximity to the campus and its surrounding community and offers a parsonage and a competitive package.
