Job Title: Pastor of Worship and Media

Reports To: Senior Pastor

Position Status: Full Time

Compensation: Annual Salary of $50,000 - 60,000

Campfield Memorial Baptist Church is located in the foothills of western North Carolina with about 225-275 active and growing attenders. We are a Southern Baptist congregation which is committed to glorifying God and making disciples in our community and the world. 

Who We are Searching for:

We are seeking a called, skilled and gifted Pastor of Worship and Media Arts. This role will serve the church by leading meaningful worship, developing a strong music program and overseeing media and technology to enhance the ministry’s reach and impact. You will have a lot of freedom to grow a program as the Lord leads.  The ideal candidate will be a born -again, spiritually mature man meeting the scriptural and character requirements for a pastor, a man called by God with a heart for worship, strong musical and technical skills, and the ability to shepherd and develop a team of fellow worshippers. 

Qualifications:  

  • A committed follower of Christ with a testimony of faith and a lifestyle consistent with biblical standards.  
  • Ordained or eligible for ordination within the Baptist tradition.  
    Education and/or Experience in worship arts, music skills, AV Technology and ministry.
  • Proficiency in musical performance with good vocal ability and the ability to read music and lead vocal and instrument rehearsals.  
  • Strong technical knowledge of Live AV systems, streaming platforms, recording arts and media production.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with ability to inspire and equip volunteers.  
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to a multigenerational congregation.  

Worship Leadership

  • Plan, coordinate, and lead worship services in collaboration with the Senior Pastor, ensuring alignment with the church’s vision, theology, and doctrine.  
  • Select and arrange music that is biblically sound, blending traditional hymns and contemporary songs to lead the congregation in worship. 
  • Lead and direct the worship team, including vocalists, instrumentalists, and choir, fostering spiritual growth and musical excellence.  (Currently piano and organist instrumentalists with potential for more)
  • Foster and develop Children’s worship music ministries. Provide and Recommend training opportunities for those seeking to grow in musical ability.  
  • Oversee rehearsal schedules and ensure preparedness for worship services and special events.  

 

Pastoral and Administrative Duties

  • Support the Senior Pastor and collaborate with other pastoral/ministerial staff members to promote the vision and ministry direction of the church.
  • Attend all services, outreach, special events, and any other church activities planned on the calendar being fully involved in the life and mission of the church.
  • Provide pastoral care to worship team members, fostering a sense of community and discipleship.
  • Provide Pastoral care for membership as needed, including occasional preaching/teaching and personal ministry.
  • Participate in pastoral staff meetings, contributing to the overall vision and mission of the church.  
  • Oversee and supervise paid music personnel and volunteers.
  • Manage the worship and media ministry budget, ensuring responsible stewardship of resources.  
  • Collaborate with other ministry leaders to support church-wide events and initiatives.  
  • Engage in personal spiritual growth through prayer, Bible study, and participation in the life of the church.

Media and Technology Oversight 

  • Oversee and supervise the Audio Visual Committee.
  • Lead the media arts ministry, including audio, video, and live streaming, to ensure quality production for in-person and online worship services.  
  • Manage and maintain media equipment, including sound systems, projectors, cameras, and software, ensuring functionality and recommending upgrades as needed.  
  • Train and equip media team volunteers to operate equipment effectively and serve with excellence.  
  • Oversee the church’s online presence, social media content, app, and website updates.
  • Create or coordinate multimedia content (e.g., sermon graphics, promotional videos, worship slides)

Working Conditions:  

  • Under direct supervision of the Senior Pastor for accountability and ministry alignment.
  • Must be available to lead worship for Sunday/Wednesday services and major church events.
