Position Responsibilities
- Oversees the children’s ministry (preschool through preteen) in a manner consistent with the vision and mission of Wellford Baptist Church
- Leads the large group time on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights with engaging gospel-centered and age-appropriate lessons
- Oversees implementation of Bible study curriculum
- Serves as a host on Sundays and Wednesdays by engaging with children, parents, and leaders as they arrive and leave
- Recruits and trains qualified volunteers and develops and mobilizes a team of ministry leaders
- Maintains with excellence a safe, clean, and prepped learning environment in accordance with Wellford’s Policies and Procedures
- Plans and orchestrates strategic special events for children and/or families
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree preferred
- Involvement and training in the areas of ministry, discipleship, child development, and leadership development
