JOB DESCRIPTION
Title: Spanish Pastor
Supervisor: Lead Pastor
Status: Part-time, Exempt
Purpose: Making disciples through the Hispanic Ministry.
Pastoral Care
- Provides pastoral care for Spanish members
- Works intentionally to align with Rocky Creek Church as a whole
- Agrees with and follows the Rocky Creek by-laws and policies
- Coordinates with other pastors for pastoral care to all members
- Works with church ministries (staff, deacons, other ministries) to meet needs
- Works to provide unity among Spanish and English members
- Ensures that church vision is implemented among Spanish members
Biblical Instruction
- Prepares biblical sermons for Spanish service
- Works with the Connections Coordinator to grow Spanish Gospel Groups
- Preaches and teaches in ministry opportunities within Greenville
- Leads personal disciple-making efforts
- Provides biblical instruction in pastoral care situations
Spanish Missions
- Helps plan mission trips to Spanish-speaking countries with the Mission Pastor
- Trains members for mission trip experiences
- Collaborates with Recommission Network churches for potential Spanish mission efforts
- Coordinates language training within the church family
- Works with Baptist missional efforts at the associational, state, and national level

Vocational Requirements:
- Educated in theology, religious studies, or related field
- 5+ years experience as a pastor or in ministry leadership
- Bilingual Fluency in Spanish and English
- Live within a distance that doesn’t hinder the fulfillment of shepherding duties
- Proven track record of growing a church congregation
- Excellent preaching and teaching skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work well with a team and delegate responsibilities
- Extensive knowledge of the Bible and Christian doctrine
- Skills in public speaking and debate
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
- Legally Authorized to work in the United States
