Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate, biblically grounded Lead Pastor to provide spiritual leadership, vision, and direction for our church. The Lead Pastor will be responsible for preaching, teaching, pastoral care, and equipping the congregation for ministry. Additionally, they will oversee the church's administration with the support of one staff member and volunteers.
Key Responsibilities
Preaching & Teaching (2 Timothy 4:2)
- Prepare and deliver biblically sound, expository, and engaging sermons each week.
- Lead Bible studies and discipleship programs to encourage spiritual growth.
- Ensure that all teachings align with Scripture and the church’s values.
Leadership & Vision (1 Peter 5:2-3)
- Provide spiritual direction and strategic leadership for the church.
- Collaborate with the Elder Body to discern and implement the church’s vision.
- Encourage and develop lay leaders to serve effectively in ministry roles.
Pastoral Care & Discipleship (Galatians 6:2, James 5:14, Ephesians 4:11-12)
- Provide biblical pastoral counseling and spiritual guidance to individuals and families.
- Conduct weddings, funerals, and other pastoral services as needed.
- Visit and pray with members, particularly those in crisis, hospitals, or homebound.
- Coordinate the process of membership, termination of membership, and church discipline.
Administration & Church Operations
- Oversee church operations, ensuring smooth communication and coordination.
- Collaborate with the administrative staff to handle church records, finances, and facilities.
- Ensure compliance with legal and financial requirements related to church operations.
Community Engagement & Outreach
- Foster relationships with the local community and partner organizations.
- Lead and encourage evangelistic and service-oriented initiatives.
- Support and oversee missions, outreach, and benevolence programs.
Qualifications
- A deep, personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a commitment to biblical teaching.
- Demonstrate a stable, mature Christian walk, reflecting the requirements of a pastor (1 Timothy 3:1-7; 2 Timothy 2; Titus 1:5-9):

- a faithful husband

- Exhibit the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23)
- Live out a commitment to prayer and the study of God’s Word
- Bachelor's degree in ministry, theology, or a related field (Master’s preferred but not required).
- Minimum of 5 years of pastoral or ministry leadership experience.
- Pastoral heart with a passion for discipleship, shepherding, and community outreach.
Skills
- Strong preaching and teaching abilities with clear, relatable communication.
- Strong organizational, administrative, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with a small staff and a volunteer-based ministry structure.
