Associate Pastor of Family Ministries
College Street Baptist Church – Walhalla, SC

Job Description:
College Street Baptist Church, located in the beautiful foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Walhalla, SC, is seeking a passionate and dedicated full-time Associate Pastor of Family Ministries. This individual will play a vital role in establishing and leading a comprehensive discipleship strategy aimed at reaching and equipping K-12 students while also empowering parents to disciple their children. Additionally, this pastor will work alongside the church staff to engage and minister to our local community.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a discipleship strategy for children and youth (K-12) to foster spiritual growth and biblical knowledge.

  • Provide leadership, vision, and oversight for family ministries, ensuring alignment with the mission of College Street Baptist Church.

  • Equip and support parents in their role as primary disciple-makers of their children through resources, training, and encouragement.

  • Recruit, train, and mentor volunteers and ministry leaders to effectively serve in children’s and youth ministries.

  • Partner with the pastoral staff in reaching out to and ministering within the Walhalla community, building relationships to share the love of Christ.

  • Plan and coordinate events, retreats, and activities that support the spiritual development of children, youth, and families.

  • Assist in general pastoral duties as needed, including preaching, teaching, counseling, and pastoral care.

Qualifications:

  • A strong and growing relationship with Jesus Christ, demonstrating spiritual maturity and a call to family ministry.

  • Agreement with the doctrine and mission of College Street Baptist Church.

  • A passion for discipleship and a heart for reaching children, youth, and families with the gospel.

  • Bachelor's degree in ministry, theology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

  • Experience in children, youth, or family ministry leadership preferred.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff and volunteers.

  • A heart for serving and reaching out to the local community.
