Senior Pastor

The Pastor is responsible to the church to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ, to teach the biblical revelation , to engage in pastoral care ministries, to provide administrative leadership in all areas of church life and to act as the chief administrative leader of the paid staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.  Proclaim the gospel and lead the church in proclaiming the gospel to the church and the community through an effective program of witnessing and                                                    caring ministry for persons in the church and community.
2. Lead the congregational worship services and be responsible for providing other leadership in worship services as needed.
3. Care for persons and lead the church in caring for persons in the church and community. 
4. Serve as the chief administrative leader for the total church program, working with deacons, church officers, committees, and other volunteers as they perform their assigned responsibilities.
5. Provide leadership for the observance of church ordeinances.
6. Conduct counseling sessions, perform weddings and conduct funerals.
7. Counsel with and assist in the training of deacons for their responsibity.
8. Act as moderator in church business meetings.
9. Cooperate with associational, state and national denominational leaders in matters of mutual interest and concern; keep the church informed of denominational development, represent the church in civic matters.
10. Serve as chief administrator of the paid staff; supervise the work of assigned paid staff workers.
11. Perform other duties as church needs required.
